I agree with all of the posters who said to go small. I always kept a small camera in a plastic bag in a hip pouch. Not being an expert skier, I would ski down and then have my kids ski by me. Never tried to take any shots while backcountry skiing as Imwas too afraid of injury.

Really? I think this one
looks absolutely iconic. Insane composition if one likes that kind of thing. Like something from a Leni Riefenstahl movie maybe (I've only seen some stills), or an ad for expensive liquor, or these funny black pants
